As the Barrel Turns...

For whatever reason, I am getting most of the “press” for this venture. Even Anne says that M6 is “Joe’s” Winery and Tasting Room. I want to correct this notion because M6 is ours, not mine. I am not capable of tackling such a pursuit without Anne’s unique gifts and individual contributions. Anne is my life partner and the mother of my children. She tolerates my visions and dreams of the next big adventure. She is also the voice of reason if she senses that I am actually getting serious about something. She is supportive but pragmatic. We have been through most of our lives together; the better and the worse. We have been blessed in countless ways. We prayed about, analyzed, and discussed this venture for more than a year before taking steps. At some point, we both agreed to proceed. Even after starting the licensing process, we accepted the possibility of roadblocks and closed doors. By God’s grace, with the help of professionals and following the advice of fellow winemakers and friends, we are now in business!
